Robert Anderson
Director and Strata Manager
Robert brings over 25 years experience in the Real Estate and Strata Management industries to his clients and to his guidance of the team at Advanced Community Management.
After completing his Bachelor of Building and then his Graduate Diploma of Education, Robert spent 12 years teaching in primary and secondary schools.
During three years in the Real Estate sector Robert obtained his Real Estate and Strata Management licences. In 1994 he joined Body Corporate Services (BCS), Australia’s largest strata and community management company, as a strata manager. In 2001 he was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer.
From 2000 to 2004 he was President of the Institute of Strata Title Management, now Strata Community Australia (NSW), the peak body for the strata sector in New South Wales.
In 2006 Robert established Advanced Community Management.
As a Strata Manager Robert has managed commercial, retail, residential and mixed use schemes ranging from 2 lots up to 756 lots. In addition he has managed Community Associations and Building Management Committees.
As a consultant he has been involved in the set up of some of Sydney’s most significant multiple dwelling developments. These include The Finger Wharf at Woolloomooloo, The Horizon at Darlinghurst, Moore Park Gardens and The Cove Apartments.
Chris Garner
Strata Manager
Chris has a background in industries requiring both communication and quality assurance skills.
He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music and taught at primary and secondary levels. Chris then gained expertise in managing projects and compliance in the electrical services trade, working in both the commercial and industrial sectors.
Chris joined ACM in 2014 and brought with him a particular skill set in terms of his understanding of building services and communication with suppliers and contractors. This enables him to assess and interpret project requirements for owners and advise on best practice to reduce risk and minimise costs.
Chris has a particular interest in establishing the most efficient chain of consultants and trades people to undertake projects for ACM clients. He prides himself on being a proactive strata manager and clear communicator who will employ his building services expertise to his clients’ best outcome.
Rachel Fitzgerald
Executive Assistant
Rachel has a background in administration and organisation having initially worked for Mission Australia and also as a fund raising account controller. In 2009 she moved into the world of strata management as a portfolio assistant with BCS. She then expanded her skill and knowledge base working as a tender analyst in the strata sector.
In 2014 Rachel joined Advanced Community Management and brought her strong administration skills combined with her knowledge of the strata management sector to assist Robert and the team.
Rachel’s strengths in written and verbal communication, her ability to see things from the client’s perspective and her belief in the team enable her to contribute significantly to ACM’s client service delivery.
Andrew Mao
Strata Assistant and Accounts Manager
Andrew brings a unique set of skills to the team including a background in digital arts. This informs Andrew’s creative and organised approach to his work and is coupled with a strong customer service ethos.
He manages the Accounts Payable and Receivable for our clients and for the company with a high level of precision and organisation. He is process oriented and methodical and takes great pride in the systems he is utilising to service ACM’s clients.
Andrew is active in front line communication with ACM clients, as well as direct liaison with contractors. He has held his certificate of registration since 2015.
Justin Mellars
Strata Manager
A Bachelor of Business and over two decades of experience in the finance and banking sectors has given Justin extensive analytical experience and finely-honed communication skills to offer.
He has been involved in strata management since 2010 as an owner and committee member and brings that experience to the ACM team. He prides himself on supporting our clients to navigate the practicalities of strata property ownership and management through forming effective relationships and utilising strong problem-solving skills.
Adept at facing new challenges, and adapting to individual situations, his extensive experience in client services equips Justin to assist effectively across our wide client base.
